2. I would like compliment you on … Saya ingin memujimu dalam hal…

3. I think your (hair) is very nice. Saya fikir rambutmu sangat indah.

4. The (chicken) is very delicious. Ayam ini sangatlah lezat.

5. I just love your (dress). Saya sangat menyukai dressmu.

6. I really like your (skirt). Saya sangat menyukai rokmu.

7. This (cheese) is super. Keju ini lezat

8. That’s not bad. Tidak buruk.

9. Pretty good. Sangat bagus.

Selain ungkapan-ungkapan di atas, untuk mengungkapkan pujian, kita juga bisa menggunakan pola kalimat seperti berikut ini:

A. HOW + ADJECTIVE + NOUN + TOBE

2. How kind my friends are. Betapa baiknya temen-teman saya.

3. How beautiful the flower is. Betapa cantiknya bunga itu.

5. How big the house is. Betapa besarnya rumah ini.

B. WHAT + ADJECTIVE + NOUN

Contoh:

1. What a wonderful job. Sungguh pekerjaan yang luar biasa.

2. What a beautiful flower. Sungguh Bunga yang cantik.

3. What a high mount. Sungguh gunung yang tinggi.

4. What a big house. Sungguh rumah yang besar.

5. What a nice song. Sungguh lagu yang indah.

Responding Compliment dan Artinya

1. Thank you but really isn’t anything special. Tksh, tapi sungguh bukan hal yg special.

2. Thank you. It’s nice of you to say so. Terimakasih. Baiknya engkau berkata begitu.

3. Thank you. Yours is even nicer. Terimakasih. Milikmu bahkan lebih indah.
